Russ Reid is one of the two founders of TMC Telecommunications Management Consultants Inc.
His career in the telecommunications field began with the B. C. Telephone group of companies in the 1970's.
He was recruited by Consultec Canada Ltd. as a senior consultant in 1980.
In 1984 he accepted the position of Vice President of Gatling Communications Inc. and was instrumental in the success of that organization until leaving to form TMC Telecommunications Management Consultants Inc. in 1988.
Mr Reid is a member of the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS) and the Canadian Hospital Engineering Society.
He has conducted seminars on "Corporate Telephone system Selection" and "Voice/Data Integration and ISDN" throughout North America.
Mr. Reid is a member in good standing of the Canadian Telecommunications Consultants Association (CTCA).
As a consultant, Mr. Reid has been a valuable resource to the business, education and health care communities.
Some clients have received sizeable rebates for overbilling as a result of feasibility study audits.
He is a contributing writer for the Toronto Globe and Mail on technology issues.
Mr. Reid was the project co-ordinator for the selection, design, installation and cutover of the Simon Fraser University telephone and data network.
He has been active with many clients in the design, selection and project management for wiring and cabling systems for voice and data, voice systems including PBX's and voice processing systems.
